win xp on two systems with same external ip?

Can one use a single Windows XP copy on two different computer systems with the same external IP (different internal IPs)?

What are the rules one what you can do with one legitimate copy of Windows XP regarding this sort of thing?

no. Microsoft doesn't authenticate the copy according to your IP address. I have a 2 CPU license winxp and it only allowed me to install it on one PC. If you try installing it on another and auth. it, it won't work.

Thanks. So they obviously store with XPs have been authorized on their own servers.
