I bought a bunch of computer parts from NewEgg.com less than a month ago, I spent $1,200 on them. I put together a Vista desktop, 2.4 ghz core 2 duo, 4gb ram, 400gb hard drive, GeForce 8600 GT, blah blah blah. How much do you think I can sell it for on eBay? I wanna get rid of it and get a mac.

I'm afraid that's close to the truth because of wholesalers who put computers together and sell them on eBay. Are you saying it's 100% insane to think I'll get $1,100 for it on eBay? I was thinking of putting flyers up in my school that compare the price of my desktop to the price dell would charge with identical parts ($2,000+)Comment

You might want to check Craig's List in your area first. Would save you on shipping cost. Sold mine for a fairly good price on there about a month ago. Didn't get what I wanted, but did all right.

You would most likely get more selling it that way. But it might take you longer to sell it and as you know computer parts prices drop fast. Another problem is the hard drive certain people can recover a lot of deleted and temp files that can lead to identity theftI'm afraid that's close to the truth because of wholesalers who put computers together and sell them on eBay.
