    Icq

I have the latest version of ICQ.

Has anyone else noticed ICQ acting weird?

It pops up incoming messages in seperate ICQ windows - and a number of other things.

    I don't know if it's them - or me.

    It's you.

All you have to do is set the preferences to not do the things you don't like.

i dunno man, icq is always buggy. i say they focus on making a version that works good. you could always mess around with your preferences though.

I have the same feeling right now that I get when my Comcast Cable technical support representative tells me to check my connections.

I have my ICQ preferences set the way I want them.

you've got to really go through all of the preferences..

there are many improvements to it, once it's all setup!

Yeah, what they said. I just reinstalled ICQ, and the defaults suck. It's working fine and dandy now though.

i'd suggest using ICQ Lite over the normal ICQ

stop upgrading ICQ every time they come up with a new version, You will notice they tell you it is in Beta ever since I first installed it. If it is say 2003a that is alpha and you know it will be whacked.

I upgrade it every few years when they make it impossible for my version to work anymore, and never have issues

trillian blows, people with trillian that try to get authorization from people with ICQ will rarely succeed

Yeah, I havi it but honestly I never use half the features that was supposed to make it worth the extra money. The fact that you can't import the new version of ICQ's contact list makes it suck sweaty balls!
