You need to call your ISP and ask for it. Give them a good reason, and they may do it. They changed mine when it was coming from the wrong country.

              1. Reset the modem

              2. Go into the settings for the connection and hit 'repair'

              3. Call your ISP and ask to have your ip reset (usually does it every week++ automatically)

Depends if you have been assigned a static ip or not. If not leave it unplugged overnight, and it may get reassigned.

If its static all you need is a new mac address.

If your using a router, login to the router and change your mac address, then reset your modem.

If you using a nic card, just get a new nic card, then reset modem.

                      Works every time.

There are only 2 ways to get a new IP for cable modem users!

1-) Call your ISP (mostly they won't do it hehe)
2-) Turn your cable modem off(not disable from windows , just unplug the power adapter) for 24 hours and plug it back. You'll have a new IP assigned!

Nope , that's wrong. Thats for ADSL/DSL users. Cable user can NOT get a new IP by resetting his/her modem. Doesn't matter either you have static or dynamic IP for Cable , you still can't get a new IP by resetting.

Either you have to call your ISP or turn your cable modem off for at least 24 hours.

If you have a router log into it and refresh the DHCP.. That should give you a new IP address.

if it's a linksys router, log in and click on Status. you'll see a DHCP Release and DHCP renew button there
