Conversion question...please read!

I wanted to try something to see if it would help my conversion...
My welcome page (the page after my warning page) currently has 12 links on it including...models wanted, wishlist, free preview, members, newsletter, join, phone sex, mailing list, contact, faq, links, and an audio greeting.

My idea to try to improve conversion is for one day...or possibly longer, change that welcome page so that it only has 3-4 links...members, free preview, join, and links...

Is this a good idea?

It's common sense, though a one day trial may not yeild astonoshing results.
