    Quick IRS question..

    how long does IRS take to cash a check you send em?

    Example i sent them a check monday, they were scheduled to receive it today..

    When will they cash it?

          Sounds like your checking account is lacking funds. Try saving up through out the year for this.

            Wrong.

            They have those automatic check cash things. Where they run it through the scanner, and it gets pulled from your account. This was on shown on that NATGEO special about the IRS last week or so.

            So... once they get it, open your letter, it is run through the reader, and cashed instantly.

            But don't worry cupcake. I sent them mine last week, and they have yet to cash it toots.

              Usually the king has to taste some of the milk and cook some of the veggies before he takes the rest of his crop?..wait oops?.. They cash it instantly.

                    I would think even if it does get returned by the bank, the IRS would put it in again. Most places do, common practice.

                          Well, I paid by automatic withdrawal from checking account on Tuesday, and I just checked my bank and the money has been taken already.

                          The government works fast when it's taking money has always been my take on it.

                              We always do a 1040-ES 4 times a year. Then come tax time you only owe the difference from our estimate to what we really did. Makes things easier...
