    Screenshot Problems

    I just upgraded my system yesterday to a P4 2.0 GHZ with DDR RAM instead of the older shit I was using.

    So this morning I go to take screenshots of some videos and when I paste them into paint shop it pastes a picture of the media player but the screen inside is blank. (i.e. black screen, the picture from the video isn't there anymore)

    Anyone ever have a problem with this before, and if so how did you work around it?
    I know I could take screen caps from vegas video or something like that, but I'd really like to know why I can't take screenshots anymore.

      Yes, I had this same exact problem a few days ago, and asked about it on here. Didn't get any answers that were serious though.

      If you can find the answer anywhere else besides here, lemme know as well, and I'll do the same for you.
      SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

          I have had the same problem but I too have not found a work around yet.

          Use Lensman's program and get the most for your hard earned traffic.

              You have to slow down the hardware acceleration.

              For windows 2000 you go into control panel / display / settings / advanced / troubleshooting.

              Sorry thats the only os I know.

                  I have the suolution for you...

                  I had the same problem here. Just use this prog ''ATI file player'' it's for a ATI card but it work even with no ATI card and it's the best.. You can take screen shot with the prog.

                  So it's ATI multimedia center '' File player''

                          This is the 20th time this is posted.

                          Simple solution: Open 2 mediaplayers, play 2 movies, pause them, screengrab. Paste in PS and 1 will appear, other one will be blank.

                                  Win XP - just turn off hardware acceleration in the Control Panel -> System -> Advanced

                                      i had that problem a year ago, google is the best..........just typed in something like 'screen capture problem black screen' and found some messageboard threads with the solution to turn off hardware acceleration in Media Player if u wanna do video screencaps.
                                      I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

                                          That worked. I dragged the acceleration down 3 notches and it works now like it did before my upgrade.
