    best software for screen caps?

At the moment we are using adobe premiere pro and sony vegas but still i think the screen caps can be better. It is in comparison to the movies who are cristal clear.

any advice on this matter is more then welcome.

If you are looking to do it online, we have created a very nice script that does this.

You want the best quality, you should hand pick the exact frame you want in your editing app to export, one with no motion or blur that is lit good preferably, so that you start with the best image possible. Then you deinterlace image and sharpen it a little bit, maybe brighten it in Photoshop or any other image editing app and increase the contrast too.

If you want to do it automated and cull down the resulting images to the best, there are a few apps that can do this pretty good including SnatchIt (the newer version has a different name now).

download a fully functional 30 day trial of SnagIt
from techsmith.com and see if snagit meets your
                      taste.

it works well for me. gives me exactly what I see
on the screen but that's all I need.

it has some editing features to enhance but I
                      personally dont use them.

What he said. The best caps are done by hand.
