Stupid Windows problem . . help please

I was playing with my friend's laptop and somehow managed to cause the tackbar to go from horizontal the bottom of the desktop to where it is now running vertical on the right hand side of the monitor.

I don't know WTF I did . . . and while I am writing this he has managed to move it to the left, but he doesn't know what he did to make that happen . . .

Just drag it back to the bottom.

Drag and drop it where you want it. If it won't move, right click it and untick "lock the taskbar".
