    Webmasters/Hosts help!

Ill explain my situation it is a little tricky..
I registered my domain through www.Xanthion.com the host I was using. Along with the domain i received hosting. Now as im starting to get more traffic i need more bw.

Heres the problem, my host is not responding to me and they have not been responding to me over a month now. I thought about changing hosts but I cant! They have my domain. Anyone have any suggestions? I emailed and called MANY times and no answer. I really have no idea what to do!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I never checked these offers out before. When they "give" you the domain, they don't put it in your name?

Well, that certainly sucks for you. I would chalk it up to experience and start over. Can't be that old of a site. Delete everything and redirect to your new site until it expires.

Usually it starts out in hosts name to prevent chargebacks, then they will transfer it to you or create your own domain access subaccount. Use the proper support method to contact your host, if you're simply emailing support@ or whatever thats probably not the proper method, I am sure they have a billing manager with ticket support.

Then they own it, nothing you can do.

That's why I tell people never register with the same host you use even though we offer domain registration.

have you tried calling them? If i were you I would exhaust every avenue in attempts to contact them. IF that does not work get in touch with the registrar (if the host is not a registrar) If the host is the registrar you can take it to another level. Contact me if you need further assistance.

Ohh and start registering your domains through webair.com and you won't have these issues =))

I have tried them at all hours of the day! No one answers! and yes the host is the registrar.
Update after doing a little research i found:
                                        http://www.gotorion.com/vb/showthread.php?t=12333

also i noticed he was posting on all these forums shamelessly promoting himself..

Yeah, well known in alot of webmaster groups. GFY moves way too fast for everyone to notice. But it's been brought up here and there is plenty of info on it around here. I'm pretty sure a quick search of his nick would bring up threads on it. Google prob even has some good ones stashed away.

So pay for hosting for a year, then when it is yours, move it. 301 until then,

Just buy a new domain. Throw up a redirect on your current domain in WHM and funnel traffic over.

Chalk it up as a loss or in a year when you technically own the domain approach your host about it.

A domain costs what? $10-15? Big deal - that's a cheap lesson to learn. Good luck.
