Networking Question: Networking Gurus help please

I've got a network here at the office setup as a workgroup.

Problem: Two people with static IPs inside the office don't show up on the workgroup along with the others that are on dynamic DHCP connections throught the router.

how do i SEE the people that are on static ips and how do they see the dynamic dhcp people?

i've got it this far, but i've hit a snag.

    thanks in advance

they are all on the same workgroup name etc?

can they access the name by doing //computername in the address bar where they would usually show up?

are ip range and subnet mask identical?

          like:

are dhcp and fixed ips both in:

          192.168.1.xxx

          and

          255.255.255.0

          ?

yeah go figure. the two that have static ones only their their own connection in the network connections window and the ones on dynamic dhcp show the other 8 or so machines in the office. all pcs.

the ones with static only show themselves and not even the other one on static ip.

              subnet mask yes.
ip range is a bank of ips that i get from time warner

the router and dynamic people are on 192.168.blah.blah but the static people are on 24.199.blah.blah

Are you sure everybody has a shared folder and the windows firewall service is shutdown?

Are they connected thru the SAME router?

looks like you have 2 computers connected direct to the internet on 24.199.blah.blah and the other 192.168.blah.blah is YOUR actual network?

if you have it like that either move the static on to the router network or put in a extra network card and connect that to YOUR(192.168..)network
leaving the 24.19.. connecteble for them

Then they are on 2 different networks that is why you can not see them
192.168.. is your private network and should not be accesseble from an outside network(the 24.19..)
