Working on the computer all day can definitely have an effect on your health, but you're on the right track with the fitness club membership. I used to laugh at people who said they felt better after a workout, but after about 2 weeks or so of working out, your body will start thanking you for it and you really DO feel better!

I need to exercise more than I do. It's sooooo hard to push yourself into doing anything after years of spending most of the day on the computer working.
I'm just fortunate that I really don't drink pop around the house or eat a lot of junkfood. Usually I grab a bottle of water and a heath bar. Otherwise I'd really be in bad shape. I do still need to get more active though
I do a minimum of 30 minutes a day on a treadmill, especially in the winter.
I remember when I had first started after 2 years of being parked in front of a computer 12-18 hours a day. I was winded in 5-10 minutes with no incline. Then I would be exhausted for 2 days.
Now I can keep it cooking for the full 30+, 5-7 days a week without having to sleep for half a day. Plus I do feel better, and can do a lot of things I couldn't before. I am hoping to add in some weight training, and b-ball this summer since I am now in better cardio shape.
It also helped with a lot of that anxiety shit, among other things.
I have 2 boys.. They keep me busy, lots of exercise with them and I play golf..
I don't hit the gym, for a few reasons. First, I'm pretty cut without working out. I'm skinny, but can easily lift as much as my friends. So I have no care to improve the way my body looks and I have no interest in being a stronger person. I also find it so boring, music, or not.. My brain shuts down so much to work out, I get bored which leads to me getting tired.
Really my boys keep me always moving.. It may not be the best workout but it sure feels like one at the end of the day.
make sure your health club has a spa or steam room, i hit it up after every workout, clears out the fooblies especially after exposure to any pollutoin
Hiking, snowshoeing, Mt. climbing, epillitical machine, snowboarding (not this year..WAH)..I like to get out once a week.. but twice a week would be even better.. when I am not outside..I work out at home.
I just signed up for the gym last night and I'm starting today. I haven't been in a gym in 2 years and those fuckers have gone up in price. my last gym was $375 a year but the new gym was $529 a year. It's a nice gym but fuck .. that's high. it better pay off
My wife is killing me also but at least she stays hot ...lol she pays or i should say i pay $520 for her gym and $30 a session for a trainer .. she trains 3 times a week and it's adding up ... but her ass looks good
