REPOST: Need dedicated hosting solution urgently

Hello to all fellow GFY'ers.

I am currently located in a hard state where there is a threat to my business due to my inept host.

I am running a freehost, and due to numerous complaints of spam/CP on behalf of our hosting members, the host now wants to disconnect me. Of course, anytime I received a complaint, I fully cooperated with the host and remove all content as well as the account. I could also provide the ISP or whomever sent the complaint with the information of the hosting account. (IP, email, etc)

Nevertheless, any attempts to calm down such issues with my ISP have failed, and thus, I am being forced off their networks.

What I am looking right now is for <b>three</b> dedicated servers on </b>10mbps</b> each. Burstable would be a plus, but not necessary. Oversold bandwitdh would be fine, as long as it is not saturated.

The servers specs would be somewhat close to the following:

P3 or Athlon XP, 1Ghz + with 512mb SDRAM. The rest doesn't matter as long as all the parts are tested. The harddrives will most likely be shipped to you and you will only have to install them and configure them (FreeBSD) with your network. I will provide the root password for them.

Also, I prefer not to use Cogentco/Yipes bandwidth. Others are welcome.

The price range I am looking at is about $300-$400 per one server with the above specs and traffic.

No one cares to check into why he is being shut down, but they want to get his business quickly.

Im not insinuating which is why I just 'laughed,' instead of saying anything bad about the guy... figured someone else would question it too, nothing major man, just stoned again hehehe

The special is $795 for 10mbits or $1495 for 20mbits
(server included)

That's like double what he said he wanted to spend....

Not that he will likely get non-cogent/yipes/verio bandwidth and a high end dedicated boxes for $300-$400 each (since he probably is using 20+ mbits?)

Why don't you hire a coder to hook up an automatic temporary account disabler for CP reports? You should be able to address the CP issue pretty easily... just need to play with the ratios of uniquies:CPrepots to find a nice spot to auto-disable accounts until you can manually review () the accounts for permanent termination

my mistake was a simple one, when he said 'i am running a freehost' i mistakenly read that as 'i am running on a freehost'... the thoughts someone would go from a freehost to 3 dedicated was silly.

easy mistake on the kush.

The problem was poor complaint handling of that ISP. They were afraid to receive those complaints in the fear that their bandwidth provider (yipes) will terminate their connection with them. However, I talked to Yipes' lawyer about such issue but they still wouldn't remove the null-route from the IP. ALTHOUGH I handled all complaints within 12 hours. In fact, there were only 3 CP complaints in the last few months. They still got pissed.

Anyways, I am still looking for some cheap deals. Will even consider offers such as $50/mbit. I do not require premium bandwidth. The bandwidth may be oversold. Also, I need good uptime and excellent complaint handling system.
