A friend of mine's nephew was in a bad car accident last year that left him in a coma for three months. My friend went to see his nephew every day in the trauma center and spoke to him while he was in the coma. On New Year's day of this year he woke up and aside from some short term memory problems he is OK. His doctors say his short term memory problem will correct itself over time with therapy.
While my friend was going to the trauma center every day he met a family by the last name of Wilhite, who did not have as much luck with a family member of theirs, his name is Troy, that was in the trauma center.
Troy was in a terrible car accident and it left him a parapalegic. My friend is trying to help the Wilhite family and Troy out since his nephew was much more fortunate than Troy.
