How to overwrite AOL image compression?

If you've never used AOL you probably didn't know about their image compression. By default, AOL delivers images after reducing the image quality. You might be shocked after seeing how AOL users see your site, especially if there are small text on pictures.

Page below which I found via Google has a sample how AOL ruins your graphics:

AOL users can disable this image compression, but most don't know what they're missing... Is there a way to override this image compression, some HTML code we can add to our pages? Some other trick?

I spent alot of time trying to figure that out and never did, I dont think you can over ride that. I also hate how pop-unders dont work with the AOL browser. People can say fuck the AOL browser all they want but it doesnt change the fact that a large portion of surfers using it
