Weird windows errors - finally caught a screencap

So I've posted before about strange issues with my new Dell desktop, basically random shit starts happening, such as over here:

    http://www.jerzeemedia.com/windows/windows.html

This happened after moving thumbnails from one directory to another, happens after the first time, doesn't take repetitive action to replicate. Is this a windows fuckup or a screwed video card/driver?

Seems like a video card driver screw up to me since you were able to screen cap it. If it was a windows error, chances are it would crash and not give you that.

had that issue before when the video card is overheating... if nvidia, download the performance tools and check the temp, or make sure the fan is runnin on the card... if on board, no idea lol

I have that happen when I overload the cpu, or move too much data, the windows seem to freeze to the background but once I move a spare window over the artifacts they clear... it doesn't really bother me but a graphics update should cure most issues like that.

Seems it's probably an overheating issue. When I ran some utils, bang, bluescreen shutdown the machine. I guess the next step is a new vid card? The fan on this card is shit, no wonder why. I've seen this with the old Voodoo cards (if anyone remembers those). They pack so much power on such a tiny PCB, and lack in the cooling area. Shame.
