You can tell people who hang with stars and people who get their pics taken with stars by the venue. If 90% of the pics with stars are taken at a club, chances are it's merely a photo op. If they are taken in more personal areas (dinner table, non-public places, etc..), chances are they know/are friends with the celebrity. My vote, he's a VIP host in a high profile club.
