All I can tell from their posts (I mean Pathfinder's and theking's) is that they are both pretty articulate and intelligent. If theking irks you because of a particular issue, attack him on that point, but to keep bringing up the Pathfinder thing to try to invalidate his positions on whatever issue is at hand, prima facie, is childish.

Yeah, Fletch, why do you care? I think theking should ignore any mention of Pathfinder, but that's his own deal. I have nothing to do with him. It's just that I've noticed a lot of postings about this recently that seem weirdly, and excessively, interested in the question of this person's identity (yeah, I'm not excepting theking's own post, but he was responding to some "lame" dare).

12clicks, I just want to address one point: I'm not aware of anything Pathfinder or theking said on any thread that could be considered anything but an ad hominem attack, and I'm sure that's not what you meant. You're saying that since Pathfinder == theking, there must be some dark design for this switch, right? Correct me if I'm wrong (I could be; I don't read everything here), but neither of these guy(s) has really talked much about business or called anyone a thief or something like that, right? (I do remember the David Lewis thing, now that I think about it, but I think we'd agree that's an allowable exception, if you read it.) If you can show that either of these poster(s) have used this "identity change" to libel anyone then I do see your point, but I don't think that has happened.

If this is the case (that the two are the same person but have not used this to hurt anyone's business), I still wonder why anyone cares. I don't think theking would bring this stuff up without being constantly goaded by some people. I don't know theking, but I think if people would stop blowing off whatever he says on any topic by bringing up the Pathfinder thing and ignoring anything else he says, he wouldn't be trying to prove anything. If he brings it up without any prompting, he's fair game, but if he's talking about some entirely different topic and is drowned out by "Hey Pathfinder, you old bastard, ha ha ha you suck," that's just stupid. Little kids do that on the playground.

If we all think this is boring (and I do too), let's all never mention Pathfinder again in any thread. God knows I'm not starting any more threads about it. I've contributed my turd to the shitpile, as have lots of you. It should have been played out a long time ago. If you don't want it all over the board, all you have to do is not mention the "P" word.
