    formating for windows

I'm working on a MAC G5 running OS10.4.8. as of now, i can only convert my movies to Quicktime media to play on the web. Does anyone know of a mac compatible program to formate movies from imovie to MPEG2 so they will play in windows media. I have had a couple of people suggest that i by an inexpensive pc, but that's going to be a last gasp.
    thanks all

Never underestimate the power of human ingratitude.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Sorenson Squeeze might work.

Autodesk Cleaner does a good job but costs -

For free you can use ffmpegx
(great for mpg4 and xvid encoding)

But in my opinion Cleaner does a better job.

There are some other good commercial products as well.
