    Anyone bought a tree?

We should all do the secret santa thing, replace giving "gifts", to giving "compliments." Miss Leigh

As odd as this may sound, for those that have fresh cut trees.

Buy yourself a diaper, like pampers or whatever brand.
Cut it open, remove stuffing and place most of it around base of tree in the water dish.
Add water until saturated, let sit, add a lil more water and and more diaper stuffing until near full and completely saturated with water (cant hold any more).

Prevents the majority of air evaporation and keeps tree properly moist. Just add a touch more water every so often.

hehehe... I remember doing that in the 80's LOL, worked really good. I won't buy anything living with such a finite lifespan like that anymore, not fiscally responsible. But the diaper trick was always a timesaver and made it stay green way longer, man the wonders of sodium polyacrylate never cease to amaze me.

Bought my first one ever this year.

$70 bucks for something that both puts the lady in a good mood and makes the apartment smell like fresh pine all month is a worthy investment, imho.
