POST your GOOGLE ADSENSE ctr

Just curious as to what other people are getting and for what general areas.

Im at about 4% right now, not great from numbers i have heard others throw around but getting better

p.s. thanks to frogman for some advice that helped me boost my ctr from less than 2 to over 4 = twice the money ..

p.s.s. wicked snowstorm here . my power is out , chatting on the last bit o juice on my laptop ( saving the generator for heat , short on gas ) so i wont respond till power gets back on .

How do you drive traffic to your GOOGLE ADSENSE sites? I always wonder about this... I still promote the sponsors via galleries.. I'm sure someone will post the image about "you are here" lol, before God.

Im only using adwords...

I stop promoting any pages doing less than 4-5% and go with the bigger ones, I make a new channel for every ad on every page to monitor stats fully.

i think my average is 2% but some range as high as 15%+

My CTR for November is 1.09% but that's dragged down by a forum type site where I think Google is struggling to find suitable ads. It goes up to 2.14% if I exclude that site.

Only 387 impressions / 36 clicks though.

If it s a community/forum, dont expect much better than that. Highvolume repeate visitors is not people tha click much on your banners + the banner gets shown th the same person 100+ times, and do you really expect them to press a banner every 100 page? how many banners do you click on GFY? now do the math

getting adsense click throughs is pretty much like getting click throughs on a tgp. you gotta excite the surfer.

What if I showed you my complete adsense stats for the last 6 months where I was getting a 60% ctr & up everyday and then started talking about how I really loved google adsense.

But (I) wouldnt tell you how I do it.

Then you saw this 1 ad at the bottom of my page as you were quickly glancing over in hopes I spilled the beans...

On 106,405 impressions, 3,677 clicks, for a 3.46% CTR. However, I did a LOT of site updates today (i.e., generated a lot of impressions myself, unfortunately), so those numbers are somewhat skewed.


Some individual sites in specific niches (from yesterday):

4.35% Sudoku-themed
5.93% Gambling
16.67% Mesothelioma information
4.83% Another Sudoku site
6.21% PS3
5.56% Xbox
1.74% Classified Ads
3.51% Anime


Few sample aggregates of recent specific days:

3.46%
4.04%
3.93%
3.65%


For search, I'm seeing different numbers:

Today has 22.11% CTR for searches, primarily from the Sudoku site (I don't have it anywhere else, really), on 2,307 searches, 510 clicks.
