Question about e-passporte

doesn't e-passporte allow to receive money from clients who intend to join your website?
Wonder why it can not be used as a payment method?

I think you could get a hivol commerce account but you can only accept payments from users who have epass, so your customers would have to get an epass account, load it with funds and then join your site.. Too much hassle.
someone correct me if I'm wrong..

but i think for canadian and other webmasters shut out by visa, it may be a worthwhile option.
