I help do some promotions for some of the comedians at the Laugh Factory from time to time, and one night, he was a "guest" (perhaps 3 months ago?)... honestly, I was a little stoked.... "Michael Richards??? Cool!" Well, I wasn't aware that he was never into stand-up and he was fairly new to it. I swear, his set dragged on... talking religion and politics in a dark --not funny-- manner. A far cry from Jay Davis and Dane Cook's sets, I will have to say. Someone made a comment as the red light flashed along the lines of "wrap it up"... OH, HE FLIPPED HIS LID! We all wish we got that stunt on camera. He was equally as aggravated and insulting, and yelling back and forth in a FUCK YOU, YOU PIECE OF SHIT match. AND WHO WAS HIS ANTAGONIST??? None other than the drummer from POISON.... I think Loki is on the money ... his first comment was to shock people and get a reaction to prove the power of a simple word .... i don't think he may have gone overboard on his attempt to say something shocking to change the way he set was going (the hecklers ) and I think it backfired on him but Black comedians say the same things all the time and people take it as a joke and move on.
