Is there a script or program to do this? inside please

We are helping some friends with a new site, we want everything as automatic as possible. Is there a script that we can use so they can upload there vids and the script will create a thumbnail and output the thumb and link to the webpage for vids? We have a gallery script for pics...I would like this for vids too

the problem you will run into when automatically thumbing videos is that the software usually takes the first frame of the video. (kind of like Windows Explorer thumb view)

And now with the the 2257 info being required at the beginning of each video, that even messes things up more.

It's probably possible to code the script to take the thumb so many seconds into the video, but that is sort of like Russian Roulette approach at selecting a good frame for a thumbnail.

Somethings still have to be done by hand unfortunately.

For a small site the software is usually overkill but a great investment if you plan on expanding. This is by far the most customizable adult site specific product available.

As far as vidcaps - Elevated X gives you the option to browse each video frame by frame and select the image you want to use for video thumbnails.

If you want it truly automated you can specify a default capture point to have the cms automatically capture from a certain frame number when the videos are imported
