Check it out ... The trading is the same as with ANY other TGP .. You will get your traffic back .. but you'll also be getting paid for trading with me ;-) ...

Cool idea or what? I'm just thinking out loud on here ... but none the less .. what do you guys think? ... Is this a good motivation for trading etc ..

Could an idea like this ever catch on? .. I look at it like this ... I benefit from it more because I'm getting 50% of the listings instead of listing other galleries ... my trades will send more and require less back .. because they will be getting sales etc.

Just an idea .. I'm going to work up another version of this .. where I have daily updates .. 3 rows of new thumbs each day .. regular updates etc .. and the bottom 2 rows of each update will be sponsor galleries ... so the site will get good bookmarkers etc ..

If this one catches on at all I'll make it a big deal and do ALL sponsors and sponsor galleries and let people signup and enter their ID for ALL sponsors and mix and match em all throughout ...

Yea that's definitely the plan ... I wanna get EVERY sponsor on there .. and not just have a simple page like whats on there now ... Make it Multi-Cat .. with like 2000+ galleries in constant rotation etc.

quick query, what about the cheaters. Something about this tells me cheaters would be on it like flies on shit. Say you're a medium sized TGP pushing 70k and someone signs up legit and pushes a shitload of hitbot traffic to you, how can you revoke a sale?

I'm not knocking your idea just wondering if you had plans for it.

Hmm .. Lar's Cam thing is a lot different than having a full TGP of sponsor galleries etc. He owns the cam program etc ... I'd say its pretty similar to http://www.globalfreepics.com/index.html?a=blah ... and that's still a lot different ..

I think all sponsors who have sponsor galleries should have a sponsor TGP that does traffic trading.

Huh? .. Hitbot traffic to the TGP wouldnt really affect the sponsor galleries or sales would it? ... It would hurt the trading, as with any TGP ... Please explain what you mean a little better?

err wait forget that post, i think i misunderstood your idea. you're saying that upon arrival of the surfer the ref codes are swapped, so if they did send hitbot traffic there isnt a chance of a sale anyway... right? or am I slow still?

Yeah You could do this Idea with all the hosted gallery sponsors.
And just auto rotate the pages every day an entire tgp made of only hosted paysite galleries where you split the revenue witht eh trades. madthumbs. I would pay for a script that already had it all set up so I could just plug it in and go. I am too busy to do all that work. but a turnkey package would be awesome !!
You could also do textlinks to other sponsors and rotate the codes 50/50 or I can think of some other weays to split the revenue as well.

If there are enough people interested, I'd be willing to build a package to manage all of this in php/mysql. I have another project to finish first though. Price determined later, or maybe just a small % skim of traffic?

What do you folks think? I was planning on doing something like this for myself, though if it's a group effort then everyone will help out with input and the construction of the scripts.

Since I own a copy of Mikes Madthumbs, I would like the plugin to work with that since I already have that. Then If I had a little script that already had all the companies who had paid galleries
and all teh thumbs already built where all I have to do is replace the Referer IDs with my own I would definately buy that plugin. With the 50/50 feature built in where half the time it goes to me and half the time to the people who trade traffic with me. Then ya dont really need to accept or deal with Galleries submissions at all.

ok could program something like this and have it done by january 1st. It would work with multiple sponsors after the person trading with you entered the codes for all the sponsors used on your tgp.
If you want I could even include a stats area where everyone can log in and see how many people that they sent clicked on each listed gallery.

The script would include a ton of links to sponsor hosted galleries including preview thumbs plus some galleries from diabolicalgalleries.com where you also get paid.

I could offer this for a very reasonable price or make it free and skim a % of your traffic.

Diabolical Galleries *sort-of* does this; but without trading traffic; you just send your traffic to them and they split the revenue with you.

actually anyone who sends traffic that doesn't generate sales to this system would pretty much be a hitbotter. knowing the sales of a trade eliminates the hitbot advantage and is the ULTIMATE productivity test

I see one big problem most sponsors galleries suck big time I mean how much have you really made from them really ?? There conversion rates are apauling. But I love the concept if the sponsors lift there game a bit.

I have done some testing on this idea, using my own galleries and ads. Paying guys to send traffic but also trading it back.

However, I suck at trading traffic. So badly I have promised myself never to try again because it wastes to much time. The traffic has to be productive or it just kills all the trades.

Mike has plenty of traffic, and is great at trading it. Pretty simple for him to code the scripts.

If anyone could make a big site from this its him, I guess.

i've thought of variations of this idea before.. not to be a cynic or anything. but this is just asking for cheaters to come out of the woodwork and send fake hitbot traffic in hopes of getting their 50% hosted galleries... also. what's to stop the tgp owner from changing the percentage once he gets all this traffic? say to 75% me and 25% you? or even lie to the traders and make it a 60/40 deal? they would never know... when something is offered for free.. there will always be someone looking to scheme it.. these were just some things that came to mind when i thought of doing it.

rayzor i think that your affiliate code would only have a 50% chance of being displayed to the surfers that YOU actually send. Hitbotters wouldnt have any chance of their affiliate codes being displayed to real surfers sent by other sites.
