Cogent will finally give up and admit their failure, and all current cogent hosts will go under.

3rd party processors will start becoming a thing of the past, and more sponsors will have their own merchant accounts and process their own sites.

Webmasters that don't make shit in the business will finally realize they can't make a living in this biz and get out and go to the mainstream world.

People with 1/2 a brain will realize that getting 100k of crap tgp traffic is just burning bandwidth, and figure out how lower quanity, better quality traffic is much better for making money.

More regulations regarding Real Info when registering domains will start being inforced, and sites with bogus info will start being shut down.

Internext shows will start being held on weekends, not weekdays, so those with kids at home can attend eaiser.

In 2005 the business of porn will be much larger and also much different. 2004 will be roughly the same as this year.

This thread is old but next year (2004) there will be a very important Supreme Court ruling that could make free adult sites illegal in the U.S.

                                    October 14, 2003

The U.S. Supreme Court said Tuesday that it would review a federal Internet pornography law, marking the second time the justices will weigh the constitutionality of restrictions on commercial Web sites with materials deemed "harmful to minors."

COPA makes it a crime to publish "any communication for commercial purposes that includes sexual material that is harmful to minors, without restricting access to such material by minors." The maximum penalty is a $50,000 fine, six months in prison, and additional civil fines.

                                    http://news.com.com/2100-1028_3-5090816.html

The ruling is expected by July of 2004.

This would have a huge impact on the U.S. online adult industry if they ruled the law was constitutional.
