    Rumsfeld Steps Down

    Just posted on CNN.

    President Bush announced today that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, architect of an unpopular war in Iraq, is stepping down. Bush said: "[Rumsfeld] appreciates the value of bringing in a fresh perspective during a critical period in this war."
