I do this out of my house, and I just bought a laptop with a wireless NIC to do this from. In my opinion, being able to work from my office, or the living room, or in bed, or on the crapper, just freaking rules.

The eq. that I got was a D-Link 713D wireless access point (wireless, 3 port switch + 1 wan port, print server, NAT, DHCP) for around $200, and a D-Link wireless NIC for a little under $100. Got them both from buy.com. Worked out of the box, and I flashed the access point with the latest just in case. I can max out my cable modem from my bedroom at the other side of the house.Comment

yea them babies are awesome.. i plannign to get a linksys setup soon and have my pc in the basement/studio, so i can do porn and work on my music at the same time.
and plus.. i get more privacy in the basement.. nobody in the house seem to like to go down there.. so i guess i can work on porn stuff during the day or anytime.

Actually, I did it for the opposite reason, to be less isolated from everyone else. At least my family remembers what my face looks like now.Comment
