XP Help Please

Okay, my daughter tried to upgrade from Windows ME to Win XP - Pro and it is not going well . . . I guess none of her hardware is working now, so she wants to restore her system to ME.

It is my understanding that there is a feature that allows you to return to your old OS. As she is 400 miles from me, it is a little diffilcult for me to figure it out from here.

Anyone know how to do this? Thank you in advance

seriously, doing an upgrade is the worst thing that you could do. System restore won't save her either because the file needed to pull off a restore point like that would be too large. Thus, most likely writen over by now. And that restore point would only be there if she told it to

If she chose the "Save your old Operating system files" when she upgraded she can do the following to go back to WinME:

Start-Settings-Control Panel-Add Remove programs-

Then choose "Uninstall" or "Remove" Windows XP

It's one or the other, I haven't done it in a while.

obviously you missed the part where I said I was 400 miles away from the pc in question.

besides, when you get these damn Gateway setups, you can't just mix and match
