Average Gallery Conversion Ratio?

I don't make galleries so I have no idea how well they convert. I'm thinking about making a couple very soon. Anyone got an article or an estimate on how many visitors it takes to make a sale? I plan to sell to trial membership sites.

When I say I haven't a clue in this area, I'm dead serious. I don't know if its around 1:20k or 1:200k....so, needless to say, all help is appreciated.

Didn't mean to post the poll (was making another thread but decided against it,) but go ahead & vote anyway if you'd like. I don't plan to base my estimates on the poll results, but at least it's something to look at...I guess.

EDIT: The more I look at this, the less reliable I realize it will be. Assume the niche is "semi-popular" (asian, anal) & not teen or hardcore.

Don't know how many views on the gallery to joins figure. But I do know when we tracked Chameleon Auto submits 2 years ago we were getting 1-1200 on visitors to the paysite. It was worth it but only just.

We are doing it again but not with a coded link, so no idea now. We will be buying spots soon and these figures will be important.

Depends on where you get listed, your niche, the content, the site, the time of the month, how bad the processors are scrubbing that day, etc, etc.

You can do 1:20k to the gallery or you can do 1:200k to the gallery, it really depends on so many factors.

I have a general idea of how well people convert once they visit the sponsor based on my sites...just wondering how much different conversions are when it comes to galleries.

jact: Yeah, I see how it could differ greatly...just looking for a rough estimate from someone who has submitted quite a few galleries (of different designs, sites, etc) Appreciate the input.
