how well/bad does it convert? how have you done?

are there any special techniques used to make the visitor click your banner instead of the freehost's header banner space?

I think the webmaster makes more then the Freehost.

I gewt pretty good conversion and i still use other freehosts

Has anybody done any real tests on this subject? I know I asked about it once but got real short answers like somebody didn't want to tell me something.

Lightning may beable to clarify this, but i always thought the "freehost" would do just as well as the gallery builder, as alot of newbie surfers would click on the freehost headers and footers, where the more experienced freeloaders would learn to ignore these headers and click the thumbs.

The galleries definately make more money then the Freehost.

I was planning on opening a freehost service, so I made my gallery posts on my paid server look just like the banner/link farm you would find on any of the popular freehosts.

I tested this with about 200,000 page views. At the end of the test, my links within the gallery were being clicked on at least 500% more then the "fake" freehost headers and footers.

The only way I figure these guys can be making money is if they own their own servers and are getting incredibly cheap bandwidth rates.

also they don't count on perclick and conversions to make money.....they sell the placement for the month....why do you think they all have virtual girl banners, virtual girl is hard as hell to convert but they pay very good for monthly placement....

that is how they make money + they must add some real blind links sponsors too

Very good Point But some of Use Freehosts have to survive on Per click Basis I am getting my ass Killed haha i put alot of money into my freehost from my other sites.
