    mpeg compression settings

Got a few questions for those of you who do your own MPEG content.

    1) what editor do you use? I am looking to take a long clip (30 minutes) timeline it and chop it into exact 15 second clips. is there a way to automate this? I have a few pieces of software and there is a batch capture function but I'm a little wary.

    2) what settings do you use? I want to keep my files within about 1-1.5 megs for each 15 second clip. locking the size at 320x240 is okay, just want to get good clean settings that will give me 24-30 fps

    Thanks!

These threads get buried fast so you'll excuse me if I

    *bump!*

I know a few of the bigger boys on this board have these answers, just looking for a suggestion and some settings, I have some but I want to double check before I crank out hundreds of clips.

    Thanks!
