XBox vs. PS2

Been asked a million times, so why not ask again. Which one's better and why ?

I'd prefer the XBox just cuz its hardware is closer to the PC and I'd tweak it in my free time. Then again I think the PS2 games are cheaper and you can get buttloads of em on the web 4 free...

lol, my last game console I owned was the Super Nintendo. God, those were times. I kicked ass in Mario Kart, none could beat my ass
Once I spent $90 for Mortal Combat 2, which was absolutely revolutionary. Not to mention Zelda ... that fucking game almost gave me a stroke.

Mario kart is an all time fave....

however, I have both xbox and ps2. both have advantages... but, xbox is a clear winner for me.

I bought a mod chip for like $125 cad. plugged in a spare 80GB drive... blamo! downloading games (I still buy the good ones but the shitty ones I delete and dont worry about), downloading movies.. watching vcd's and playing dvd's...

and the sound is better in the xbox, graphics are better as well. ps2 has a larger selection of games...

Xbox live is pretty cool and I havent had any problems with lag or downtime yet... lets see after xmas.

I was really dissappointed with the unreal tournament port to xbox tho. It is really lame.

I just got Steel Battalion for xbox.. if you like games like mechwarrior, you're gonna love this shit if you can pay $200 for a game

the controller it comes with rocks, some of the game is cheesy but the action stuff and combat just kicks ass

I love the X-Box and think it is better. It has a built in hard drive so you can add your own music so when you play certain games it plays your music. Also the games are just amazing plus you can get higher resolution if you have a digital television. The X-Box has everything you need. With the PS2 everything costs extra like extention cords, ethernet etc. Hope that helps.

PS2 of course....a lot of games and a lot of great games...you can install a mod chip and play copied games...now there is a palyer for divx files, probably vcds will be played soon too...

Xbox has waaay better graphics for games built for it, faster loads and saves, smoother game play, hard drive that you can install linux on, and xbox live blows away PS2's setup.

Plus now you get Xbox and 2 free games for $199. But if your like me and have alot of disposable cash, get both (and the gamecube) to be sure you never miss a good game

I like my Xbox very much...Played on PS2 as well, and ,ust say, they have more games, but it's all about the quality

BTW the gamecube doesn't sell at all in The Netherlands, some shops don't sell gamecubes anymore....

YES you read that right here they have the xbox games copys and sell them for only 7.00 so that is way cool :o)

Xbox is a thousand times better than playstation. You'll have to wait for playstation 3 for it to catch up to the Xbox.
