    chiropractor...

any of you freaks ever goto one? I went today for the first time and saw my x-rays.. and god damn is my back fucked up from sitting in this chair. After he adjusted me i felt like a million bucks.. and then laid on this table that has these 'wheels' in it that vibrate and roll up and down your back and neck.. fuck that felt good.. I just found a new hobby.

my gf went to one a couple years ago... i passed out from all the bending and shit he did. it looked like it hurt. then i dated a girl that went to one daily! they fill your head full of shit to keep you coming back. they say they can fix all sorts of shit, but all they do is make it worse. this girl went forever and he would never show her the new xrays.(assuming they were worse than before) i think they suck. imho

Yep, had to go to one when a car rear ended my car on the Santa Monica Freeway in LA. All 5 of us in my car got whiplash. Had to go for about 2 months every other day to get things perfect again.

well, you do have a point there... they are alot like car salesmen.. hype up the 'product' and feed you alot of bullshit no doubt... but I can't ignore the fact that the shit feels good.. but you are right.. It is probably bad for you in the long run.

They're just like any other Doctor... you just have to find a good one. The hubby has one for his back from where he broke it in the 80's. She is great. I was with him one time when I was in college and mentioned that my hip was messed up from carrying such a heavy book load. She popped me on the table and poked abit and said hold on.

When she popped me, I was ready to cry or yell or something (it sounded like she broke bones lol) but then it dawned on me that for all the noise I had heard in my own ears, it really didn't hurt. I was stiff for a couple of hours but after that wore off it was like a whole new hip.

She doesn't want people in there all the time like some. She goes with the plan that most people respond to treatment and then not have to come back unless they re-injure themselves. Or if they do NOT respond then there is no sense coming more than say 10 times. Give it a try and quit if its no go. I know he goes now and again but only when he has pulled something loose. And he always comes out with a bounce in his step. ;-)

Pimp, try the electro therapy! Whoo Hoo! (IF the doc will think its any good for whatever is wrong with you) Great feeling and then you get the vibrator bed right after.

I have a fucked up 45 year old back and i'm 24. Not good, believe me guys sit straight up in your chair and don't poke out your neck otherwise it will permanently stick out and lose the curve of your neck which will decay disc and do bad shit. all round

I go twice a week to a Chiro that using Kinesology as well as normal chiro, she checks muscles as well as the spine/neck and she is very good. I went to others who just go crack/crack c ya that will be $30 thanks. $30 for honestly 3-4 mins work.

If you goto one that gives you very little time and is more is practicing chiropratic for more than 10 years then goto someone new, the old people doing chiro use the old techniques they learnt in the 70's. There is no need for them to TWIST you on the table and force the spine back in thats the old way, the new chiros use a drop table that is pain less and more targeted to the correct part of the spine.

If you have ANY lower back pain, go see a chiro and get it sorted before your fucked at 40 from abusing your back and not reliasing it.

Chiropractors are good, but in my experience osteopaths are better. Similar techniques - deep massage and clicking joints - just different emphasis.

I have a problem knee, and have seen loads of expensive medical knee specialists, had physiotherapy, an MRI scan, an operation etc. None of this really helped, but my local osteopath cured it.

Also she is really good when I get tendonitis (=RSI) from using the mouse non-stop for hours/days at a time.
