    Dedicated Hosting Question

I am thinking about getting the following but I am unsure if I should wait til the show and see whats availble there.

IsPrime special this month is the following.

    Bandwidth: 10Mbs
    Uplink: 10Mbs
    Server: Dell PowerEdge
    Specs: P3 1.26Ghz / 512MB ECC RAM / 18 SCSI HD
    IP: 18 Unique IPs
    $749.00 Setup: $0.00

Is this a good deal, also it doesn't say if there is a charge for domains.

Isprime as always is a GREAT hosting company. Nobody can argue that.

If you're looking for a competitive deal we can help you. Our Dell servers carry the same specs but have an 36 gig SCSI. We can also do the bandwidth for a little less.

I don't understand why you would wait to save a few bucks. Business is business. I wouldn't wait around to save a few bucks.

Hosting should be 1/10 of your income. if that. Yes, we know adult hosting. Ask anyone on this board since we host half of them anyways.

I run boxes like that except they are 800mhz processors but they are $450 a month. Verio bandwidth. I have found that even 750mhz is enough to almost max out a 10mbps uplink. Running galleries that box will flat line at 8.8mbps or about. Running movies maybe 9.5mbps
ICQ me lets make a deal 116894466

Great prices on both of them. One quick question, I am not a hardware guy or a server guy for that. Are these servers basically managed besides me coding the .htacess file. Also when I want to add a domain do I just use a interface. The only reason why I ask is I almost bought a server where I needed to know everything. But basically my whole business is my self except for a friend of mine who I hire for programming and shit.

Thanks guys, not trying to sound lame I am just trying to cover everything.

            Heya BidDaddy,

I have a server with Thumbserver.com and they fully manage my machine. Service is top notch. Pretty cool cats all the way around. I've heard good things about ISPrime as well but Jamie was able to work me a strong enough deal that I ended up going with them.

A 10M uplink is only an Ethernet port terminated in a 10M switch. It's not 10M of bandwidth.

Don't be afraid to ask them who their upstream providers are, how much bandwidth they have, how much they have oversold, what their oversubscription rate is, etc.
              Long live Bob!

                    bigdaddyc187,

Contact me on icq if you have any questions about this deal.

We are multihomed with gige uplinks to Verio,Hericane,Williams,Level3,Alleron. We never over sell our bandwidth. With such connectivity we are able to offer 100% uptime something a single homed host can not offer. Our company also provides top notch support and we have techs on site in our datacenter 24 hours a day. Our hosting is fully managed and all support is free. If you are interested about our companies reputation use a search feature on GFY.
