Recommend Server Hosting

I'm a bit stressed out with servers at the moment and I need helpfull advice/recommendations about what I should do.

One of my servers will be running out of space in the next month. The current spec of that is:
P4 2.8 HT
2GB Ram
2x 120GB HD
20mb/s (servermatrix)
Ideally I would like 2x 500GB HD to future proof space requirements.

And another server is having difficulty coping with the amount of visitors:
Cel 2.8
1GB Ram
1x 160GB HD
100mb/s (orangefiber)
This is just serving free promo vids and free hosted galleries, currently getting over 220 requests a second in apache. A server guy has said under load the hd is only just about doing 2-3mb/s, he recommends a 10K RPM SCSI drive.

It really depends on the configuration of your servers.

The orange fiber server pushing 100Mbps if examine the traffic closer and the bottlenecks you should easily be able to free it up, SCSI isnt always the answer depending on the traffic. Although you are serving some galleries which do have more drive access, but if they are movie gals they should be lighter on the server than picture galleries.

how about splitting up the celeron into a couple of pentium sata drive servers? Also make sure your apache and mysql is optimized for high load. The best hardware does not matter if your config is not optimized.

Just an FYI - Dell is having a very hard time meeting their sales numbers.

I just bought 8 new Poweredge 1950s with dual 73gb SAS drives (can also do 500gb SATA for MUCH less) 8gb RAM, Tcp/ip offload engine nics and dual Woodcrest dual core Xeon 5150 procs for just under $4500 each.

Amazing machines, our app (very heavy BI type) was handling 250 concurrent connections on older dual proc 1850s servers (each) and now we are seeing better performance at over 550 concurrent users.... AMAZING!
