I know a lot of people that have made a pile of money in mainstream. You just need to find a niche and have a good idea and do something different.

We used to hear this with 900 numbers, the only lines making money are in adult. Bullfuck, yeh the adult lines always made money year after year, but our biggest and most successful programs were all unique, non-adult and completely mainstream.

Oh there is plenty of money in mainstream....but it's a completely different animal to work.

Traffic from different types of mainstream sites is worth vastly different amounts of money.

Traffic off of investing or webmastering 9for example) sites may be worth 50x what traffic from a celebrity or gaming site is worth.

And "Mojo's Law" is always in effect:

The ease of building traffic to a mainstream website is inversely proportional to the dollar value of that traffic.
