In that sense this war on terrorism is a pretty flexible war, isn't it? So it pretty much means for life in his case and that without trial... how do you explain such a thing? How could you ever detain someone without trial?

as far as i know and i havent read this case through england have a eaves dropping center, where if you say a certain "key" word on the telephone,internet etc (bomb in arabic or something) then you get patched through and a call center listens to you. All annoymous, unless they see a plan forming.

Im not sure if you have read the constitution, but this country was founded on not trusted government. The constitution was setup to limit the Federal Government.

Btw MI5 eavesdropping is nothing new, they have been doing that since they had the technology to do so. I have no problem with it at all if its for national security
