    MySpace Page = Programmer

I love how some (supposed) programmers who've contacted me lately for a project actually cite this as an 'accomplishment'.

Here's a tip for the clue train...

Just because you've managed to throw a bunch of random shit together in some template that hasn't crashed my F.F. browser like others have does NOT make you a programmer, or mean you know html mofo.

hehe i've seen a lot work when it comes to designing. with programming i tend to be more anal and will fire someone if they even attempt to bullshit there way through a project.

People can design and customize their myspace page. If they did it in HTML by hand more power to them, thats the real way. Post the page here, if it sucks we'll bash them.

          Nope. Nothing more to it.

Some college kids who did not have a degree yet, but claimed they could program, write code, etc.

I said, "Great, what have you done? Do you have some examples?"

Then they cite their MySpace page, and some other random fodder.

I've always said anyone can write a program. But, that doesn't make them a programmer.

Chris, I had the same response too. I asked a college kid about his experience and he said, "I created an awesome MySpace page!" I looked at it and it was one of those free layouts where it gives the step-by-step instructions.

Whatcha need as far as programming? Hit me up and we can discuss. It's been awhile.
