Good Firefox feature

This rox.. I just had a power outage and Firefox saved all my sites.

When I turned on my computer and started firefox I just pressed "restore session" and poof, all my tabs/windows were restored..

PS. don't tell me that Opera or IE does the same, I really don't care! This thread is about how great FF is!

Actually Opera has that feature also. And frankly if I wanted to use something other than IE I'd use Opera before I'd use FF.

I've only got FF 1.5 and it does it for me.
Maybe it's a part of one of the extensions. I love it though, use it all the time.

Yup, been using both FF and opera for a year, but only opera gets used..ff is fricken slow loading images, like netscape ..., but the larger question, Why Dont you have a Back UPS? then you wouldnt lose power on your pc..

I know, I'm planning on getting one this week or in the not so distant future. I've recently moved to Bangkok so I haven't had time yet.. And were I used to live we didn't have the power outage problem.. maby 2-3 times every year because of some storm or blizzard..

I dont have the new version of firefox with builtin session restore, but I use google browser sync wich does the same thing.

It will sync EVERYTHING (except extensions )between every machine you have firefox running on.. stored passwords, cookies, and your session.

Pretty cool how I can close out all my windows at work, go home and restore all the sites and tabs i had open before at the office!

We just relocated to Bangkok from Sweden and we arent really used to having power outages but we noticed it's not that uncommon here with it.

#1 reason why I don't use it. If I wanted my browswer to load images like I was on 56K dial-up I'd use 56K dial up. opera is lsighly faster. Of course IE wins the race everytime. Nothing exceptional about the other 2( well FF 1.5 haven' tried 2.0 yet ) for me to switch. Being the first beta I'm not sure I would try it just yet. Maybe when beta 2 comes out.
