Putty is cool for a freebie..... go with Secure CRT for a nice solid program.
But putty does the job.. :-)

I much prefer SecureCRT over putty, for a myriad of reasons.

Basically I recommend if you use ssh once in a while, putty is more than adequate. If you use SSH daily with multiple sessions open at all times, then SecureCRT is a must-have.

Maybe so, but there isn't a lot of functional difference between tabs in the window, and tabs on the start menu.

For me, at least -- but then again, I'm used to the Gnome desktop, where there aren't as many applications with "fancy" features like tabs. When I'm booted into Windows, it's usually for casual board surfing or gaming -- it's hard to get much "real" work done outside of FreeBSD, Linux, or OS X.

That and a couple of extra features here and there .. but really, anything beyond putty is just bloatware in most cases.
