    blogs besides wordpress

I'm thinking WP is such a fucking resource hog..

What are your thoughts & opinions on the other blog softwares/programs

Basically, I want something easy to customize.. like Wp, but want to keep the .htaccess & MySql database size down to a minimum

There are plugins that will allow caching. But 700 posts and 150 categories isn't all that much, it shouldn't be causing you any problems unless you're on a cheap shared hosting account?

I have two blogs that use Wordpress and they load at least two times slower than my other blogs usiing cutenews, so Wordpress sucks major dick, I;m sure I can get it to load faster with some twinking (sp? ;)) but why should I waste my time

http://www.s9y.org Serendipity doesn't get as much attention as it deserves. It has been better than wordpress for years.

Easy to switch blogs over to other blogs due to XML feeds
