should i be turning off my apc back-ups power supply box once and awhile? there's no off button so i guess the only way to turn it off is by unplugging it. good idea or just leave it on 24/7?

Considering they were designed for uninteruptable power one would think that they were designed with being on 24/7 for years at a time in mind. -
it's a good idea to dis-charge your ups from time to time
connect something other than your pc to it, a heater maybe, and let it totally run flat, then charge it up again, and reconnect your pc back up to it
if you do this, it keeps the battery packs in good working order
