    Data Recovery Help!

    I have a mini-disaster on my hands - my pc crashed and when i rebooted Windows i got this screen to check the file system of my external G drive - said unrecoverable errors on most of the folders - pretty much everything is gone - but it still reports the same number of GB's unused on the drive - so i'm hoping the files are still there somewhere - what should I do? what software should I get?

              Mutt dont do shit yet, you need to email me and let me get you some REAL software... dont use the consumer stuff before you do more damage with it.

                          Had this once, downloaded/bought a smal program and it worked out wonders. It got me back everything wich ever was on the disc (so even deleted stuff). Unfortunatelly I can not remember the name of the program. Something like getDataBack or something.

                              Was it photo or video Mutt? I have recovered photos, but haven't found a good way to recover vids. I hope it works out for you. Data loss is awful.

                                  thanks - there seems to be alot of software out there that claims to be able to restore files - but a few of you have made me scared to try them

                                  all I need back are my original PSD files - all the photo content for three solo girl sites is on there but i can get those replaced.

                                              I once had a drive do the same thing, it even started smoking. Someone took it out and even shocked the fucking thing by accident, I forsure thought I was fucked. I sent it to this place i saw online, cost 1000 usd but they recovered all the shit and fedexed me 2 dvds with all my data on it 3 days later.
