Better Quality Than Vonage - SplitInfinity

Alright, so were done with our beta period. :-)

Check out the quality of our network for yourself:

    +1 619 342 0263.

This goes directly to our session border gateway in San Diego.

It can also be tested by dialing from the PSTN, which will show you
latency from our PSTN gateway to the SBG setup as well.

    Feedback? Please post.

If you want to sign up, https://myvoice.splitinfinity.com

You can use Xten or any SIP compatible softphone or even order phones from us like the Linksys 841 series desktop phones. The quality is AMAZING.

We have been running in beta for 1.2 years, time flies when you are perfecting the network! :-)

Once you sign up, you can make station to station calls within our network... for example if your SplitInfinity number becomes 10000, you can call your friend at 10002 and etc.

If you want to make regular phone calls, simply deposit funds into your SplitInfinity VoIP portal account and instantly you will be able to dial ALL countries and phones.

We will be interfacing with SkYPE in two months so you will be able to direct dial those users as well (but our rates are way cheaper).

Once you sign up, check your email for a confirmation.
You can use that information to configure your sip softphone or other harware sip phone.

OH, and yes, once you sign up, you can email our support for your own phone number.... [email protected] to have one assigned.

We also offer 800 number service and numbers in other countries, prices may vary.

So signup for FREE to check out our service.

    Directions for using Xten:

Thank you for your interest in the new SplitInfinity Networks VOIP service. We hope you enjoy your experience. Please post your enthusiam about
our new product to all the boards you post on. We would
appreciate a plug in your signature line as well if you
    dont mind.

"I use SplitInfinity Web Hosting and VOIP services"
    You may link to: http://www.splitinfinity.com

There will be many ways you can utilize our service:

    * Use an actual telephone
This can be done by using your regular telephone with an
ethernet adaptor made by Sipura, or by purchasing an actual
SIP phone from us. The phone will plug directly into your home
network and can also be used wireless.

    * Use a "Softphone"
This is the quickest way for us to get you going and also the
preferred method of those who travel. A softphone is a program
that runs on your computer and acts as a phone. It is VERY clear
and reliable and has all the cool features of a real SIP phone.

To get started right now, you must download the free "Lite" version of the program below, if you want more features, after you have used the lite version, you may upgrade to the regular full version.

For beginners who want simplicity, I recommend the Lite Version for a less complicated setup.

    For Windows Users:

    X-PRO
    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/32454

    For Macintosh Users (OSX):
    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/32455

Here is the information you will need to get your softphone configured:

    username: 10002 (example)
    secret password: jdjeuxxu34 (example)
    SIP Proxy Server: 38.96.4.15

After you install your softphone lite version, do the following to get up and running quickly:

Click on the "Menu/Preferences" button which is just to the left of the green off hook/dial button and just to the right of the CLEAR button.

A Menu of settings will pop up.

Find "System Settings" and click on it.

Find "SIP Proxy" and click on it.

    Click on "Default"

Set the items on this screen as follows:

    Enabled: Yes
    Display Name: Your Name Here
    Username: 10002 (example)
Authorization User: Should be left blank
    Password: jdjeuxxu34 (example)
    Domain/Realm: suavemente.net
    SIP Proxy: 38.96.4.15
Out Bound Proxy: Should be left blank.
    Use Outbound Proxy: Never
    Send Internal IP: Default
    Register: Always

Everything else can be left alone.

NOTE: Make sure that you turn on G711u by clicking on it on the phones screen. Just at the bottom of the fake "screen" there are "codec" options. Click on G711u. You may turn off the other options to the right of that one.

Click the X in the top right hand corner of the window to close the settings screen. Your phone will take a second and then will Register with our servers here at SplitInfinity Networks.

    Try to dial a call!

Enter the number, then click on the green dial button.

Once your voice mail is set up, you can click 1 then the dial button to check your voicemail. Your password for voicemail will be the same as your username, please change it as soon as you login for security.

PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK. EVEN IF THERE IS NO PROBLEM I NEED TO KNOW ALL IS WELL. THANK YOU AND ENJOY.

Ive been beta testing for several months now, and Ill say the quality is as good if not better than my landline phone. Vonage Ive heard tons of bad reviews of. Some people do great with it, but lots have issues.

I bought the cordless Vonage phone. Plugged it into my router, went to their website, and in 5 minutes, I had phone service.

I couldn't tell you if it was on the internet or regular telephone.
