    GoDaddy Issues?

I had some issues with a domain name and the sales dept & support dept was giving me the run-around. I totally pulled rank on those asswipes and wrote directly to the President ( [email protected] ). Now, I know it didn't really go to the President but it did make it's way up to one of his assistants and after reading my plea...he agreed and the problem was immediately resolved the way I thought it should be. Still considering moving my domains away from those peoples....so where do ya' recommend I move them to?

I'm a HUGE fan of Enom.com and have all of my domains there.

      about goDaddy.com

i've got all my stuff registered with goDaddy.com - even in my previous mainstream business - and I've been thinking about moving them away to another registrar for a couple of years...

the problem is that before i get too far with a new registrar, goDaddy demonstrates again that it has great tools and so fucking useful and easy!!

Godaddy has been great to me, there is definitely a bump in service if you have over 100 domains with them.

They give you your own account rep who you can hit up and they will take care of you. My guy calls me before the end of each month to give me a price break on any upcoming domain renewals, and he is quick to respond to any questions or problems I might have.

I have hundreds of other domains spread out among other registrars, but none give me any special attention or perks like Godaddy does.

GoDaddy has been getting pretty strict lately... for example, there is a new godaddy policy which restricts the transfer of a domain within 60 days of changing any part of the contact information of the domain. This completely contradicts ICANN's registrar transfer policy.

I've started to move all my domains to a reseller account I've bought which allows me to get pretty cheap domains. I also have a few domains at NameCheap as well.

Again, the best registrars are the ones you don't need to contact for technical support.

Besides, when I first heard of a web site named 'godaddy.com' I was sort of hesitant to visit it.

I like Dotster, alot. Too expensive though.

I have thought about renewing my main domains for 9 years at GoDaddy, then transfering them to NetSol. I think they'd be safest there, because if the shit ever hits the fan to the point NetSol goes under, we are all in for a helluva treat.
