Ok, once I accidentally mouseover a flash banner in here, how do I turn OFF the sound if it's on a loop? I'm not mentioning any names, but damn that's annoying. Just include the little sound on/off icon like most other sites/ecards/flash movies do out there. That would be a little more courteous, I think.
How do I....

Opening a new tab or removing focus from that tab doesn't stop the sound. I have to actually leave that page. You'd think that would be bad for business to shorten the eye-time your banner gets.Originally posted by Pure Evileither hit Mute or click on another link. thats about the only way to stop the damn thing.email: [email protected]Comment

Yeah, that quickbuck banner can be rather annoying.
Oops, no names right. Sorry.... bah, I'm too lazy to hit the backspace.
Anyway, the fastest and easiest way is to just hit the reload button (or F5) real quick.Comment

in Firefox F5 or reload.
if you look in the upper right hand corner of the banner there is a little box to close it out.
also Firefox has extentions to get ride of flash bullshit.Comment

Reload the page. Well, that will have to do. I happen to enjoy flash elements of pages in general, so I don't want to block everything Flash.Originally posted by CheneyRumsfeldin Firefox F5 or reload.

Looks like they went to the naughty allie school of advertising. Remember how many people signed up for allies site when she had the banner that did not stop on mouseout.Originally posted by ElliOpening a new tab or removing focus from that tab doesn't stop the sound. Not to mention the fact that the audio was explicit dialog, rather than just stealing copyrighted music like everyone else does...Originally posted by czarinaLooks like they went to the naughty allie school of advertising.
