PC help: After system restore, shortcuts double, even control panel items double

After system restore, I have many shortcuts called name(2) where 2 is a copy of the original. I even have double configuration panel items..
Any idea what todo :-(

You should be able to just delete the (2) copy's one by one.

That happened to me somehow after a simple reboot. Not the restore thing you're talking about though.
