It depends on how close he was to where the bomb went off - he may not have been facing towards the blast - others may have been standing between him and the blast - you can't see the back of his head so the chances are that there isn't all that much there.

There are all sorts of factors that can effect how someone looks who has been killed by an explosion.

If the bomb had landed right in the room where he was there would be very little left of him - but they could have been meeting in an out house and the bomb could have been targeted on the main building - you'll never know but if they finger printed him they know that they have the right guy.
