Do you really think of us as being THAT newbie? =) ... Anyway, i've never received a virus after i got tjernobyl, in 99. I have no virus-scan application installed on my crappy win32, but still, i have my common sense which keeps me out of trouble

thanks Ten for the heads up. I just finished re doing my email program, going through it so the mail doesnt auto open. Also, I had a virus scare just doing reviews a couple of days ago. thank goodness for NORTON! anyway, i appreciate the warning

Super heads up...our content guy has had his machine down for more than a day. He doesn't open emails, no icq nothing...but something emailed everything on his desktop to everyone in his address book (even to emails of sites he has visited?)....So watch out.

E-mailed everything on the desktop? Goddammit. That would suck. Probably outlook's fault. I know outlook sucks, but I still use it.

I have .VBS and .WSH file extensions terminated, is there anything else I would have to do to prevent outlook from running any script of any kind without my knowing (i.e. I am not stupid enough to 'open' attachments that I do not know).

There was a page posted a while back with a bunch of windows extensions that shouldn't be enabled (unless of course, you need them). Anyone have any idea what it is?
